AOI Machines for PCB Assembly

DaoAI makes offline 2D (P1, P1L, P2), inline 2D (P3, P3D), inline 3D (P5, P5D, available for delivery now) and through-hole AOI machines: the A3 checks components before wave soldering, and the A5 and A6 (available for delivery now) inspect the solder joints after it. Every model programs itself from one golden board in 30 seconds to 5 minutes, with no CAD, Gerber, centroid file or component library. All AI runs on-premise on the machine, and sales and engineering support comes from our North American team in Vancouver.

AOI machine questions

Which DaoAI AOI models can be programmed without CAD data?

All of them. Every DaoAI model uses the same golden-board AI auto-programming, so no CAD, Gerber, centroid file or component library is needed.

Is DaoAI's inline 3D AOI available now?

Yes. The P5 (single track) and P5D (dual track) inline 3D AOI machines are available for delivery now.

What's the difference between offline and inline AOI?

Offline AOI sits beside the line and boards are loaded by hand, which suits prototypes, NPI and high-mix work. Inline AOI sits in the SMT line on a conveyor and inspects every board automatically.

Which DaoAI machines inspect through-hole boards before and after wave soldering?

Before wave or selective soldering, the A3 straddles the existing line, checks pin presence and insertion, and looks for missing, wrong, reversed and offset through-hole parts; it does not inspect solder joints. After soldering, the A5 inspects the solder side from below, and the A6 inspects the top and bottom of the board in one pass. The A5 and A6 are available for delivery now.

Does inspection data leave our factory?

No. All AI runs on-premise on the machine, with no cloud connection required, so inspection images and data stay in your plant.

Who supports DaoAI machines in North America?

The DaoAI sales and engineering team in Vancouver, together with authorized partners. See our partner program or contact us below.

How much does a DaoAI AOI cost?

It depends on the model and configuration. Request a quote and we will price the setup that fits your line.
